Piranha Tailbait Mini

The Piranha Tailbait Mini is the newest addition to the Piranha family – a compact handmade tailbait designed for pike, musky and zander.

It combines a 9cm hard resin body with a soft tail, giving the lure an overall length of approximately 19cm with the tail extended. At just 48–50g, the Tailbait Mini delivers the profile and movement of a tailbait while remaining light and comfortable to cast.

Handmade in Ireland

Every Piranha Tailbait Mini is individually handmade from resin and hand-painted in Ireland.

After painting, each lure receives 3–5 layers of protective epoxy resin, creating a tough, durable clear finish designed to withstand the demands of predator fishing.

Each Tailbait Mini comes ready to fish and is fitted with premium BKK Size 2 treble hooks.

Because every lure is handmade and hand-painted, small variations in weight, colour and finish are natural. No two Piranha Tailbait Minis are completely identical.

Shallow Water to Deep Pelagic Fishing

The Piranha Tailbait Mini is a sinking lure and in its standard configuration is designed primarily for fishing shallower water down to approximately 4 metres.

For deeper fishing, every Tailbait Mini features an integrated threaded weight system. Additional weights can be fitted directly to the lure to increase its sinking rate and help reach fish holding at greater depths.

This makes the Tailbait Mini particularly versatile for pelagic fishing and forward-facing sonar (FFS) fishing, including Garmin LiveScope and similar systems, where getting the lure quickly to the correct depth can be critical.

Integrated Weight System

The optional Piranha Tailbait Weight Set contains three additional weights:

• 8g
• 14g
• 22g

Simply choose the additional weight to suit the depth and fishing situation.

The system allows one Tailbait Mini to be adapted from conventional shallow-water casting to deeper pelagic and forward-facing sonar presentations without changing lure.

Piranha Tailbait Weight Set is sold separately and is compatible with both the Piranha Tailbait Mini and full-size Piranha Tailbait.
